The privatization of beaches has been an issue since the 1980s, when larger hotels chains established themselves on Curaçao. In total there are 32 beaches on Curaçao according to the Curacao Tourist Board. However, private beaches account for over half all beaches in Curaçao. This often leads to locals choosing other free beaches, attributing to a so called ‘segregation’.

Hi guys from CUNACO …..is their nor a law that says that all beaches have to have a small way to the beach for the locals ..so at least like thatbthey can reach the beach..private terain or not …or do i have ot wrong ? And if not can’t we start a petition against private beaches ?
